90 day review- Put on a PIP after 1 day of training

Started a new job and unexpectedly found out that I was pregnant. I've been at the job for 12 weeks and I am 14 weeks. I waited til I was passed my 60 days and told them. You should never tell companies about pregnancy. I was given about 15 mins of training on a new project. I was the sole manager of it, and it was apparent to me that the training was half ass and I was struggling. Asking multiple questions, and per my lead, “Honestly, are you reading what you are sending me.” Of course, when I made a mistake and I tried to correct it, everyone could only point out that I made a mistake, not how many times I asked for help or how to fix it.

Cue today, I am put on a PIP and even though I pointed out if it was my first day on the project that wasn't suppose to be a solo project. Documented my concerns on the pip but I know this is all just box checking for liability.

I feel stupid for leaving a job that I had worked for years because I could have qualified for fmla and parental leave but now I am screwed. It's in 2024 I am discussing adoption for a child because even though our mortgage and bills are pay up to October and we're saving money. Neither one of us get paid leave and 12 weeks unpaid plus daycare to work. It wouldn't be feasible. My car is paid off and we have 10k left on a 2022 kia. Our mortgage is 1300 for a 3 bedroom, cheaper than any rental around us.

I am gonna work hard to get off the pip, but I feel like it is hopeless. The company doesn't want a pregnant employee, and they will make it happen.

Edit, the pip is 4 weeks
