I’m so tired of my job

I work in an oncology/hematology clinic which is a secondary clinic to the main one located inside of the hospital in my city. I was hired part time to scan documents into charts and direct ALL incoming calls. We do not have a phone tree which I’ve been asking for. I am almost done with my degree for this field (Medical Office Professional) so I had some knowledge and was hired the day of my interview. I started in November 2021 and by February 2022 I was full time with union/medical benefits. I have been told numerous times that it’s been years since someone has been able to keep up with scanning/phones and I was a “rockstar”. And they were right, I am very very good at my job. Even the snobby doctor I work with likes me. I’m not exaggerating when I say, the clinics would not be able…

I’m not exaggerating when I say, the clinics would not be able to function without me as since I got here, numerous people have left who were doing some stuff before I came along. Then as time went on more duties were added on, such as incoming/outgoing medical records for both clinics and scanning the other clinics documents. I said ok because I was a pushover.

I’ve cried in my managers office numerous times and finally she hired someone for scanning/phones while I was given full time medical records for both clinics. the full time position I got was made for me which never happens as this company goes off seniority, but my manager told me I deserved it.

It was fine at first because someone else was hired to do scanning/phones but then she quit because she couldn’t do it and the responsibilities fell on me along with the medical records position.

So there I was back to where square one, having to take anxiety meds, begging my manager to post a position for a new employee. Finally we got someone and I trained her only for my manager to throw her over at the other clinic (which is like middle school with all the bullying and drama, they always bully me). So I had hope for a week while I trained her then got it taken away from me and once again back to square one.

I was sick for 3 days and no one covered for me so I came back to piles of scanning and 150 medical records request. 95 of those are full charts I need to pull for insurance companies. Im scanning hundreds of documents a day and haven’t even been able to touch my medical records.

I’ve applied to any job inside the company that can get me away from this clinic.
