My job is forcing employees to park across the street of a very busy and dangerous road

Just went into effect yesterday and many of us have voiced concern for our safety. The street is always busy and constantly has accidents from drunk and reckless drivers. Alot of incidents of people getting hit, and I know personally of a few fatalities literally outside of the restaurant itself. Not to mention basically making everyone illegally cross (I know jaywalking is a joke of a crime, but regardless) my question is if someone I work with would get injured because of this new parking situation, is there legal action that can be taken? Management says they are doing it to free up parking for customers, yet don't seem to adhere to their own new set of rules. Honestly it's like a game of frogger out there
