I have always gotten this sense that blaming “corporate”, or the “bosses” for something negative in the work place has become a sort of boogeyman. It shifts the responsibility from singular people to an abstract concept.
I think in order to affect the most change in our various environments, we need to eliminate this concept of a nameless/faceless entity controlling our lives and focus the efforts on singular people that are putting short term profits ahead of humans and their wellbeing.
Corporate didn’t make the decision to implement a raise freeze. A single person had the idea, presented the idea to peers and implemented it.
Anyone have any thoughts they would like to share on this?
Sorry if my thought process is hard to follow, I feel like I have a difficult time expressing random thought processes. Feel free to ask for any clarification.
