My employer is forcing the welding staff to wear safety glasses with foam lining (think goggles for motocross style) that specifically say on the package “DO NOT WEAR WHILE WELDING”

Who do we call/what do we do? We are being threatened with being sent home for not complying the first time and further punishment for second offenses. Edit: they are not supposed to be worn while welding because when sparks land on them (sometimes they make it around the hood and into your face, it happens) the foam melts and fuses to our face. Taking the glasses off is fun
