Well-being Call

My friend has been off work for just over 3 weeks for mental health problems. He has started on an anti-depressant and has taken the time off to manage side effects. During the first week, they had his coworkers texting him to find out how he was doing and ask for guidance on elements of his job. His work called him last week asking for a meeting about how they could best help him return to work. He reminded them of the date on the sick note and said work was not helping him by contacting him all the time whilst he is off. They have called again today and want a meeting tomorrow about when he returns to work and what they can do to support him. His sick note doesn’t run out until next week. How do you think he should manage this?
