It’s make or break time…

For the past six months I have been working as a dishwasher for a locally owned restaurant. The place has heft in terms of influence around the city. I have a knack for it, and I'm quick on my feet. The people do seem to care, and I can tell the chef's anything if I'm having a rough go. Thing is, there is two other dishers, a couple, who are constantly slacking, walking in and out, talking on their phones, literally sitting down. It is constant. Now I have brought this up to the higher ups. I keep getting told it will be dealt with. But nothing ever resolves. To add to the matter I am a single Father. My schedule has never been full time, scarcely over 30 hours. The whole time of my employment, I have offered to help with anything they need at all. As a result…

As a result I am only making enough to survive, and have fallen behind on child support for several months. All I want is to be a good Dad, and I am starving between paychecks. At this point I don't feel heard. But leaving this job and finding a new place has me anxious.
