HR sent my complaint back to the boss I complained about.

Title says it all really. Unbelievable. I ask a question about company policy/standard , saying it's never been an issue in 10+ years but new boss wants to make new rules. I ask if the rules were within company policy or if I had the ability to decline as I have for many years. They told my boss, he told his boss. They message me directly about it, so I sent an ugly reply to HR & included the HR boss & bosses boss. I thought they were my resource, they probably thought the bosses wouldn't tell me, now I'll def be scrutinized more closely etc. I already decline any after work get together, don't eat their pot lucks or office catered meals. I'm not at work to socialize or make friends, I just want to do my work and check all the way out of work when in off…

Imagine how bad an office party can go, meanwhile bosses & HR reps do it all the time, drink together on business trips etc.
