Put in my two-week notice, got terminated on the same day

As the title states, I put in my two-week notice today and I was advised that it was my last day (with no further pay). They still want me to help transition my work over. I haven’t responded to those emails/texts/calls and filed for unemployment, as terminating during one’s notice period without further reasons is cause for unemployment in my state. I added in my claim that this is common practice with my employer, and this will almost certainly raise the rates for unemployment insurance that the company will have to pay across all of its employees that will more than erase any savings they got by not paying me for these two weeks. Congrats, HR!
