im seeing a lot of circulation on social media about going on a general strike in may. no work, no bills, no participating in the economy whatsoever. people are being encouraged to start stocking up on nonperishables, saving up funds, talking to neighbors, all that. i just don't see this panning out. it seems super unorganized to me and i can see a lot of people who are currently saying that they'll participate flaking out once may actually comes and they realize that basically living off the grid for a month is incredibly difficult.
what do y'all make of this? it just doesn't seem feasible to me. sure, a general strike is a great way to have our demands met, but like i said, it's just not organized.
