How to beat the monotonous routine and dread?

Monday to Friday – wake up, work, get home, eat, sleep… repeat. I get home from work and the only thing I think about is resting and not having to do anything. It’s the only way I can get away from the fact I have to sleep and wake up and work again. How do you beat the soul sucking routine that is work and having a nice life after work finishes? Getting home and doing nothing after work is the only respite I get before having to do it all again.
