I went in the other day to ask for a raise thinking I was pretty well prepared to pitch for it, I'll try to spare the details.
Lately there have been a lot of inventory issues, all the prep is in my hand writing, and I'm one of two people that runs the kitchen.
While we were discussing it I brought up that all the employees just stand around on their phones while I'm running around doing everything (even having picture proof of three employees doing so from one of the managers) and my boss sided with them saying they should have been told to do something as well as I should be doing less.
WHY ISN'T SOMEONE AT WORKING TRYING TO DO WORK? Make things easier for everyone instead of me making it easier for everyone.
I was denied a raise, promotion, and now my hours are cut. I have never had my spirit as a hard worker crushed more. I guess I'm more just venting but still.
