I am trying my absolute best to convince everyone in my life to stop settling for their jobs

This was a realization that hit me really hard recently. I was catching up with an old friend of mine, and as we were talking, we were talking about our work and our career. I had recently begun getting my chartered accountant, while he has about 6 months left to go, and he told me that his company is looking to hire a new accountant, the same title as what I hold at my company. And the beginning salary begins with the first digit being + 2 to my current salary, and it took me a whole lot of meetings and calls to even get to that point. Not only that, they have better support for my CA support, as well as staff trainings. Took me 30 minutes to fix up my resume and I am in the final stage of the recruitment process (reference part). And my friend, bless…

And my friend, bless his heart, has been just keep telling me “I'm getting that recruitment bonus off of you, boy!” 🤣🤣🤣

Seriously, there are others who will value your skillset and your ability more than your current employer will ever do, and never stop doing that, because you're worth more than those fuckers will ever admit.
