I work part time at a health and wellness clinic and our group chat is driving me fucking nuts.
One of the bosses is in there plus 6 receptionists.
The (hands off) boss will text us about errors or billing mistakes or chasing patients for no show fees and how it all needs to be better when most of us aren't working at that time.
I wake up in the morning (I work late) to dozens of texts about mistakes and critiques and issues and it makes me feel like this shitty part time job is on my mind 24/7. I'm also a full time freelance journalist / content writer so I don't have time for this shit. I'm also not making a lot of misdates but the rare time I do it's brought up in the chat and I feel like I have to stop what I'm doing an address it. I should also note that there is only one of us there at a time, so mistakes are GOING TO HAPPEN.
I know I can not look at it / not be in the chat but they address certain people so it makes me feel like I have to incase I messed something up.
I can say something like “I don't want to be a part of it anymore” but it makes me feel like I'm sticking out too much then.
Does anyone else experience this? It's disgusting. I know I just need to leave and plan on it but just wondering if anyone else knows how this feels?
Also I'm in Ontario so unsure about any laws about excessive contact during off time?
