Two months ago I stepped down from my full-time job to a part-time role with the same employer. I had to step down in order to care for my health. At this time, I have recovered and am theoretically ready to go back to full-time work. Yet I don’t really want to. Working part-time has been really nice and relaxing. I have lots of free time for hobbies and it has just been really really enjoyable.
Have any of you worked part-time for an extended period of time? If so how has it been in terms of freedom and finances? Do you value having the free time more than the money? And if you could do it again, would you still make the same decision to work part-time knowing what you know now?
