New job posts schedule the day of the new week

So I just got a restaurant job, and they post the new schedule the day of the new week. On top of this, they schedule me for six days but instead of scheduling me a full 8 hours, they schedule me 7 hours so they can have me for 4 hours on the sixth day, meaning no overtime. Is this legal in Florida? What should I do? I feel like if I talk to management, I’ll be punished by having my hours cut or looked down upon.
