I've just been informed that I have to travel to my company offices next month. It's a 5-6 hour round-trip. I'm 100% WFH and this is in England.
A photographer is coming to take photographs for a marketing campaign. Everyone must be available with no exceptions. It's mandatory. No annual leave is to be approved.
I'm not too sure how to react to this. I don't want my photo to be used in marketing materials. What's worse by far is that a manager just casually mentioned video interviews.
I like my job and I don't want to cause unnecessary tension. I'm hoping that these video interviews are going to be limited to sales staff or those who have agreed prior. I will not be a part of any video.
I'm reasonable. If they want a full-company group photo or similar, I'll be in it. If they want a single passport style headshot for a staff directory – fine.
If they want us doing a bunch of stupid poses, want any other photos of me alone or expect me to be in a single frame of video, I will probably die on this hill.
Not expecting much from posting this, just wanted to share some frustration.
