Thinking about quitting my job due to upcoming changes but I feel a little guilty

I’ve been working at a restaurant for the past 2 and a half years. The general manager of the store, that’s been working here for 13 years, is quitting in a few days. She was the assistant general manager for 12 years and got promoted when the GM got promoted to corporate. She’s quitting because she can’t handle the responsibilities of being GM. But here’s the worst part: the most likely candidate they will promote to assistant manager is a 19 YEAR OLD GIRL who has only been serving here for a year and a half. She’s nice and all, but she doesn’t have the qualities of a manager. There’s servers here more than 10 years older than her.

Like there’s absolutely no way anyone’s gonna take her serious, including me. There’s no way I’m gonna work under her being the manager.

So if that happens, I’m absolutely going to quit and put my 2 weeks in. But I do feel guilty, sadly it will have to be done.
