Didn’t realize choosing beggars was so full of corporate shills

A teacher was upset over getting a whopping 10 dollar gift card for appreciation week. There's a few comments recognizing teachers are paid shit, but even those are placating with “but they still shouldn't complain when they get a gift” I felt like I was in bizarro world compared to I feel the response that would have been given here had that teacher come in to complain about this scenario Way too many “don't complain at least you got something” comments on a post about a notoriously underpaid profession getting a pretty low cost “gift” I guess the people over there are totally cool with a pizza party while being paid shit? 🤷‍️
