So I got the job offer and new boss made it sound super important to her to do it right, meaning the notice. So I did. I emailed a very nice and concise Two Weeks Notice last Friday to my supervisor.
And then I agonized. My supervisor is absolutely lovely but I imagine she’ll be deeply disappointed. The owner is known for being a crazy-ball and flipping his lid. So I waited for the frenzied or sad or awkward phone call over the weekend. Monday. Tuesday. Nothing. No acknowledgment at all. I know my supervisor checks her emails religiously and I know it went through because I BCC’d myself.
Today I was assigned a new project. A multi week project. I just. I DO NOT want to have a “didya get my email last Friday?” conversation. Should I do what I can until next week and then just… leave?
Edit: I work in a satellite office with two other people not in my department. I haven’t mentioned anything to anyone other than this email to my direct supervisor. And we barely talk. I was assigned the new project purposely by said supervisor but all I get is a notice that a case has been assigned to me.
