I'm not really sure how to do this but, I recently started working for a company that specializes in repairing electronics. We do everything from cell phones to drones. If it can be repaired we do it and, although I love the work, I feel like I might have been played. When I took this job back in January, I was told that it would start at $10 an hour for the first 90 days. After 90 days, I would be reviewed and the pay would go up to $13-18/hr depending on my sales record. It is now May and the owner isn't responding to texts or calls about my pay increase. I also haven't been told anything about health insurance or any other benefits that were promised to me. To make matters worse, I had to sign a non-compete to not work for any other repair company within 10 miles of this business for up to 2 years after leaving this company so, even if I wanted to quit, I wouldn't be able to work for anyone else in a field I really love. I'm at a loss on how to proceed because this is starting to affect my ability to pay my bills. I put in 42+ hours running this shop by myself the majority of the week and I'm barely bringing home $800 every 2 weeks. I have an $822 mortgage and pay $250 in lot rent. I'm at a loss and need advice. I am assistant manager in title but, I make less than a cashier at Walmart in this same town.
