Less then a day before I was supposed start my new job, my employer informed me that they could not hire me anymore because “the job market is terrible” so all their future projects I was supposed to work on got cancelled. This is astonishing as the company reported earning record profits and promotes nurturing/fostering new talent. What stings the most is that I quit my previous job to start with this new company. This is a warning to everyone that even when you sign the contract with the expectation of starting the next day, the offer can be rescinded at a moments notice!
