Sister recently got a security job and her employer is requesting they work more than contracted hours/OT. Advice?

If your job is requesting that you work more overtime than what was contracted or deemed voluntary how would you react ? If it becomes non voluntary? If a job your working is stating that it will be difficult for You to take just one day off. Whether it be an emergency or requested time off in advance (weeks or months) —-how would you deal with this ? Just one day off could cause another employee (your equal) or supervisor to work a ‘double shift’ for that day to be ‘filled’ and any other consecutive days thereof ? How would you handle this ?
