My manager gave my promotion to someone else.

I work in a restaurant. A few months ago, I was talking with my boss(es) about going into more of a leadership/managerial role. We never planned anything out, they just told me I could start training in a few months. Never heard anything since. Fast forward to present day, I come into work and see my coworker being trained for the position we talked about! I work extremely hard, and even won “employee of the month” last month. I feel I go the extra mile every day, and do more than a lot of my coworkers. So tbh, I felt bitter when I saw they’d given my promotion to someone else. Should I bring this up with my manager(s) or let it go?
