So I got the idea to comment because a good post about a company adapting Elon's BS firing all staff and operate with bare minimum “strategy” was deleted by OP. So here is my story time.
I got a great position at tech startup last year, cut to early this year, when al tech companies were busy firing people left and right. It happend to about 20% of us.
Now I go on LinkedIn and I see post by the people still there, posting job offers. I know from a friend who is still working there that company culture significantly changed i.e. removing all of the benefits like HO stipend or having welless packages, etc. He worked last month, at least three weeks, all week Monday to Sunday (NO overtime pay whatsoever ).
I have not verified but I am betting that they have significantly lowered the salaries positions in addition , I was lucky and got a (great!) job after three months but some people that were laid off are still looking for jobs.
All of this while the billionaire founder is being praised for being efficient and “driving change”
