We have to put an end to the money grab that businesses are engaging in against employees. It’s been happening for a while now but since Covid many have ramped it up to a new level. Many don’t know this but when you pay a gratuity on a cruise ship about 80-90% never goes to the front facing employees as stated and implied. I’m not sure how this is legally allowed but it’s definitely happening. It’s misleading at best and theft at worst.
Now what I’ve been seeing are many resorts and lodges going to the all inclusive model. Looks like they’ve figured out how to be able to manipulate the system to enrich themselves and keep the common man down where he belongs.
We can stop this with one simple step, carry and tip in cash. Ask about specifics regarding how your gratuity is being spent, and boycott those who choose to steal from the lifeblood of their very organization. It’s either that or pitchforks.
