These people that I talked to suggested that I send an email to this former employer to ask if they have any kind of work for me, freelance or otherwise. There are no job openings whatsoever, so it's a real shot in the dark. This sounds like a sensible idea to me, but I just can't for the life of me figure out how to write this email. I've been staring at a blank Word doc for an hour. What do I say? What do I not say? I've never written anything like this before. So in order to not have this day be entirely unproductive, I've decided to go looking for suggestions. Helpful links, tips, tricks, videos, anything to help me navigate this situation is appreciated. Thanks in advance!
