At the risk of diminishing these positive signs, I gotta tell yas, I see a sign up ahead that says, “no farther.” Those who adjust the dials on this system know full well those jobs we all point to while yelling WTF will – come hell or high water – get done. Starvation and homelessness have always been effective levers, and that has not changed. As long as the barely satisfied are unwilling to risk what they have to help the desperate, the fine tuning currently underway will achieve corporate goals, and they'll do so in short order.
A general strike, in which sufficient numbers of the employed cease all economic activity, namely working, to strengthen the bargaining position of those whose rectal health is under brutal attack is the only way.
