Hi all. I am a 30 year old deaf guy from Africa working as a teacher in a special school for deaf/mute children. I actually love the work but the pay is terrible and destabilizing to my life. I can't afford shit, I can't afford to support my parents, I can't afford to save money and I live paycheck to paycheck. Being deaf means that it's difficult for me to get job opportunities in other fields of work. I am always one financial mistake away from being caught up in a crisis. Damn it!
