I finally got to live out my quitting fantasy!!

I only have 2 years of experience in my field, so I held on for a long time at my old job just trying to get some experience under my belt. My boss was a “nObOdY wAnTs To WoRk AnYmOrE” types and the benefits were awful, but I had a great work bestie that I worked side by side with which made everything else tolerable. They hired a new guy to initiate a transition in the leadership and he started playing games a month ago, and that was my breaking point, I immediately started to look for a new job. I was shocked when before I knew it I had a handful of really quality job interviews, where I found out that I was earning about 10k less than people in my position at different companies. I ended up having my choice of three amazing jobs, and I quit immediately.…

I ended up having my choice of three amazing jobs, and I quit immediately. Everyone I have ever seen give notice there ended up fired anyway. It was Juneteenth, not many people were in the office, so I spent the morning packing up my office and crafting a scathing letter of resignation. I sent the email to EVERYONE in the firm (tbf it's only 8 people, and it wasn't just out of pettiness, although that was part of it, but I wanted to at least get my say in) at the stroke of noon, clocked out and haven't looked back.

Tomorrow I start my dream job with amazing pay and the best benefits package I've ever heard of. I know it isn't that easy for everyone, but a couple of months ago I really thought I was stuck just trying to get experience in the field. This has probably been one of the most validating experiences of my life lol.
