My biggest flex

I used to work at a common pack and ship store. I only started working there because my older brother was the store manager, and a very good one at that. The year and a half that I worked with my brother was genuinely one of the best work experiences I have ever had. After a year of me working there my brother quit and moved states. I made it clear I would need to be paid more if I was expected to stay on and the owner refused. I took a pre planned week-long vacay and then took myself off the schedule i made after a week. The owner saw it and started saying I was being irresponsible and unprofessional by only putting in a 1 week notice. I looked him in the eyes and said “I can just leave now if you’d like, as opposed to in a week.” Never seen a grown man so baffled. He quickly backtracked and asked me to please stay the remaining week, which I did. Never been happier to be out of there.
