Ok so like I understand you have to enforce attendance policy. That being said I lost one of my best friends of 20 years on Sunday and I've really been trying to work but i literally can't stop crying. So I asked if I could get the next 2 days off since I have the PTO hours to cover it. Not only could he not even muster an “I'm sorry for your loss” but he's going to assign attendance points for BOTH days since it's not 48 hours in advance. I can understand it for tomorrow but Thursday too? Cause it's 44 hours in advance instead of 48? I've worked with him for 3 years and gone way beyond my job duties to support and help HIM get promoted and he can't even show an ounce of sympathy much less empathy. I don't know why I expected him to act like a human being. I am in school now so I can get the degree I need to get a better job and I cannot WAIT to get out of this hellhole.
