Boss paying less because I’m injured.

Hey, so I work in a restaurant in a dining hall, we make base pay $15 plus tips. And last week I injured my ankle so I’ve been on limited work( not a work related injury) basically just not able to carry heavy things and a little slower moving around. My boss told me that since I was injured and couldn’t complete as much work as normal I would only be getting half the amount of tips I normally make. I don’t think this is very fair because I could have easily just not come into work this week, and taken off like the doctor said. And also I’m doing my best and trying to still get as much done as possible, I’m not a lazy worker, I find great satisfaction in doing a good job and I’ve been with this company for two years so it hurts that they…
