We just had a newborn baby and she is using 3 weeks of pto for the first 3 weeks and then the rest of the time is unpaid. She works as a preschool teacher. They need you take certain classes to be qualified as a lead teacher and hers are going to expire soon so she has to retake them. Can they make her take these classes on leave and not pay for her time?
