Can my boss punish me for not providing proof of my partners car accident?

For context, this is in Australia I work casual for a restaurant as a kitchen cleaner/dishwasher supervisor. I got a call from my MIL that my partner was in a car accident and that I had to leave. He said it was fine but he wants proof of it as a valid reason for leaving work. I'm not being paid for my absence nor do I want compassionate/family leave for the 5hrs I missed of a shift. He was vague about what exactly he wants me to provide, just some form of proof. I'm not exactly going to take a photo of my partner in hospital to satisfy him and I'm don't feel comfortable sending my partners medical info to the company.
