And 6 months after my contract at the workplace ended after not being renewed.
There is a massive worker shortage in my industry and I had applied for more responsibilities. I was knocked back in person at the time because they wanted a different skill set, after telling me I could apply. I wasn't too bothered by this, though, as I was assured my contract would be renewed regardless.
A short time after this I was told I would not have my contract renewed and I was told the previous conversations about my guaranteed renewed contract never happened.
6 months after the end of that contract, my life is awesome, I've been doing rewarding work that I love for more money, and then I received this email on Friday. Seems they haven't been able to fill that role.
