I work for a mortgage lender and my regional manager has decided to move our office to the first floor of the same building we are already in. The office we are in now is 6,386 sq ft and our regional manager is wanting the 3 people who work from the office, myself included, to pack everything up for the move to the new office on the bottom floor. We have all known about the move for about a month now and yet our RM has not been here AT ALL to help. She has only sent her husband up here to grab stuff from her office and hers only.
To clarify, we only have to pack stuff in boxes since we hired a moving company. I guess my question for you guys is if you think we should demand extra pay for packing up an entire 6,000+ sq ft office basically by ourselves? There is tons and tons of stuff in here and it just seems ridiculous to me.
