I overheard a conversation while passing by a line at a taco truck between a seemingly recent college graduate (CG) and two 50- or 60-year-olds (50/60s):

50/60s: So, what are you gonna do when you get back? CG: Umm I don’t really know. A lot of people I know are just getting random Master’s degrees they don’t need just to be able to stay in school. 50/60s: What?! That doesn’t make sense. CG: Yeah, no one can find a job, so they just stay in school. Idk how the 50/60s responded to CG, nor anything else not included above. But what a fucked up system we live in where it is better to accumulate unending debt and be a forever-student than to participate in society like damn near every previous generation. (I’m on mobile, sorry if the format is off-putting.)
