Anybody have any good stories about an employee getting laid-off/fired where it resulted in disaster? What's the biggest disaster that really hurt the company because they laid-off/fired someone? Not because an employee took revenge (lawsuit, sabotage, etc), but because they walked away, and because they weren't there, things went wrong. Maybe a piece of equipment wasn't getting maintained properly. Maybe they lost a huge sale. Maybe they failed some type of audit. What are your best stories?
