So long story short the company I work for just had their building bought by a different, similar company. All of us employees are transitioning to the new company. I had 53 hours of sick hours built up over the two years I've worked here. Now that I'm transferring to the new company my sick hours are disappearing instead of being paid out. Only vacation hours are being paid out but part time employees (most of the employees there) don't get vacation hours
So now I'm losing out on all these hours I never used because I hardly ever call out of work
