Employer won’t provide proof of vehicle insurance (Missouri)

Middle of June, I am pulled over in a work vehicle. I am written a ticket for no proof of insurance and the officer tells me that my employer just needs to send in the insurance card to the court and it will be taken care of. My court date is August 15 and nothing has been done. I've been checking the vans recently and there are these general insurance cards with no license plate number or any identification of the vehicle at all; it simply says “fleet” under vehicle. As of today, my employer still has done nothing and I'm at a loss of what to do. The court won't accept the general insurance card. Traffic lawyers want me to either pay or wait for my employer to do something and employment lawyers won't touch it.
