Required to sign an arbitration agreement

So I've been with this company for several years. Recently we all got a notification from corporate that we have to sign off on two new things in our scheduling app. One is a new employee handbook. The other is an arbitration agreement. After reading both, I e-signed the employee handbook (which doesn't mention arbitration).. but after reading the other “arbitration agreement”… I refused to sign off. It basically says we can't sue the company. But it also says if we DONT sign it after 2 weeks, it goes into affect anyhow. Now of course we're getting emails every few days complaining about folks who haven't signed off yet… and of course, I'm on the list. If it is binding whether I sign it or not, why do they care? My guess is it's not binding unless I do. Thoughts?
