I started this job back in December and for this job you get paid based on the job you have and how fast you get qualified for the job. Basically base pay starts at $23 an hour and the position I had was going to pay $27.50 once I got qualified. However to get qualified for my job I had to have a Trainer who said I did well enough at the job to get the qualified pay, people on this job usually get qualified in about six weeks (from what my Trainer had said). Anyway once I started my Trainer said I was doing well enough to get the qualified pay after about a month but he wasnt going to qualify me yet because I wasn't quite ready yet but he later quit along with my supervisor. After they had quit I was later told I wasn't going to get qualified pay anymore until they could hire another Trainer or a new supervisor, fast forward about 5-6 months and they finally hire a new supervisor and within a few weeks he gives me qualified pay but cant qualify me without a Trainer, I dont like it but at least I'm getting paid what I'm supposed to be getting paid. Then yesterday when I was on my way to lunch I was stopped by my general foreman who told me that my new supervisor had quit after only being there for less than a month and I was going to be dropped down to base pay again. I then went and put my equipment in my locker grabbed my lunch bag and walked out without saying a thing, I dont plan on returning and am currently looking for a new job. Should I have said something to my foreman or am I justified after putting up with about seven months of this?
