Here’s my minimum wage work schedule this week highlighted in blue. I net only $303.41 for each week of work. Busting me arse & monopolizing my life. But…

https://i.imgur.com/O1FVnfm.jpg The sweet trade-off is that this little town I live in has ZERO cost of living (I'm not joking), and all my bills for my entire existence total only $348.00 per month,, so basically I pocket at least $900 per month which may seem like petty change for some of you, but to a minimum wage worker, having over a thousand dollars in the bank all the time is a pretty sweet feeling. I'm saving up for a ton of things I need, so even at this rate I still have to save for months to accumulate several thousands. But isn't that amazing that anyone on minimum wage can save thousands? Quite fortunate I think. So what am I posting about? 1) I'm of course complaining about minimum wage and earning so little for the amount of work I put in, which is inhumane & shitty for any employer…

So what am I posting about?

1) I'm of course complaining about minimum wage and earning so little for the amount of work I put in, which is inhumane & shitty for any employer to think it's ok to treat humans like chattel,

but

2) the reason I stay here in this particular town is because the trade-offs here are pretty sweet. My cost of living here is zilch, nada,
no rent, no mortgage, no utilities, my car is already paid off, oh and the-powers-that-be in this town GAVE ME A BUILDING THAT WE'RE RENOVATING INTO A GYM 🤯 because I live & breathe fitness, I can't help it, and they've drawn inspiration from this, and they want me to lead this new gym. Wow.

So am I stuck here in this little town? No. I'm saving up money and I could leave anytime. 🤷‍️

But am I REALLY stuck here? Maybe yes. Because where else could I enjoy such low cost of living? If I go back to Los Angeles the pay would be higher but so would the car maintenance expenses, fuel, stress levels, OMG that place might eat me alive again.
