Should I respond?

Apologies in advance for the long post I started interviewing for a role at a new company in May. I went through 4 interviews and was prepping for my 5th last week. This job wouldve been a major salary bump for me and wouldve overall just been good for my career. The 4th interviewer told me that the final interview would just be a formality and that I pretty much got the job. Ive been screwed over by companies befor so I know it's never actually confirmed until I get a written offer. Apologies in advance for the long post

I started interviewing for a role at a new company in May.

Anyway, I noticed something strange on the calendar invite so I emailed the HR lady to get it clarified 3 days before my final interview. I got a response 2 days later ( a day before the interview) letting me know that something has come up so they unfortunately had to cancel the interview and then she ended the email saying “I'll keep you updated on the status of the role” so naturally I was confused. I emailed back asking for clarity – is the interview going to be rescheduled or is the role being put on hold? That was 2 weeks ago. No response. I started interviewing with other companies right away. None of these companies are offering me what the other company was but I didnt want to wait around for them.

I got an offer late last week and I was given until end of this week to respond to them so I sent the HR lady a follow up yesterday asking for an update. This morning I got an email letting me know that the role is cancelled. They apologized and said that if anything else opens up they will reach out to me.

I'm very unhappy. I could go off about the time I wasted over the past 3 months but I completely understand that things change so that's not the issue. My issue is that I had to follow up multiple times with no or delayed responses which is extremely disrespectful to someone who has dedicated so much of their personal time going through their dumb process.

I havent sent anything back but Im very tempted to send back a polite but straightforward email expressing my disappointment with their recruiting process and communication but a part of me is just saying to let it go. Thoughts?
