I work for a big evil company. I am a very small part of said big evil company. I got tired of being a small part of that so I went out and got a new job offer.
Now today when I tried to give my 2 weeks notice I was told I can’t take a new job until my contract runs out. Approx 10 weeks from now. Or else (inset vague legal threat here)
Waiting to hear back from a lawyer now. But have any of you ever experienced this because currently I’m freaking out cause apparently, I’m quite literally a wage slave.
