My old co stopped paying bills. I quit because someone threatened to put my name in a newspaper over it. I had no clue what was happening – old co HR called me and said they overpaid my last check because they paid a full 40 hours and my last day ended up being a Wednesday – they wanted money back.

They almost ruined me professionally, I had to put out a cease and desist order to a vendor who knew my cell phone. Other people in the company were threatened. I was a buyer, heaven forbid they paid me out a full 40 hour week after I was threatened to have my name in a very big newspaper exposè. The audacity, over $400-$500 – I flipped and told them I’d be happy to honor their arbitration agreement and settle it there with them . I got a text from my old manager an hour later saying they should never have called over that and they’re sorry, I don’t owe them anything. What a bunch of idiots.
