I currently work for a financial institution.
The job is great, great pay, great benefits, the corporate company seems to care for us employees in a way i haven’t experienced at past financial institutions.
I am performing exceptionally – well in my role enough to already be guaranteed promotion when a position is available. I get first place in any challenge they’re able to put out to us – repeatedly.
The problem is – my work environment sucks.
It’s almost like a daycare…
I’m often left by myself to wait on 3-4 people simeltaneously or else i’ll never be able to catch up and receive bad surveys due to wait time which i can’t afford for my future promotion.
Lunches tend to never happen on time when people are set to go which throws off days and has been an ongoing 7-9 year problem according to those who’ve been there longer than me.
No one is under the age of 28 and these people still can’t be where they should be when they should be there.
To remedy these problems i’ve sat in countless team meetings to be told no more exceptions and basically we need to get our shit together. Problem is the boss doesn’t even enforce anything the following day so we are seeing zero change.
i need to talk to him tomorrow before i give up and leave along with others as well. i tend to be very emotional and passionate about things because it genuinely bothers me when I’m working 2 jobs and a single parent running laps around someone who’s lazy as fuck making the same pay and me while i continue to earn them a bonus. How can i go about this respectfully but to get my point across? I don’t want to spazz but I feel so defeated and just frustrated.
