If you terminate your employment without giving or working the required period of notice, as indicated in your individual Statement of Main Terms of Employment, you will have an amount equal to any additional cost of covering your duties during the notice period not worked deducted from any termination pay due to you.
My current employer wants us to give a 2 month notice (insane notice period for working in retail) but the manager states they want us to give up to two months. (But will be pissed if we give anything less)
Does this statement conclude that if I leave after two weeks (normal notice period for working in a business for 18 months) that they’ll deduct 6 weeks worth of wages from me because I didn’t work the full 8 weeks notice period?
Many thanks for reading!
