I'm a pizza delivery driver and it's honestly the best job I've had. Just cruising around listening to my music and people are happy to see me deliver their food. Everything has been going good until recently. I made an availability change to help with mileage on my car (I'm still available everyday, just a shorter amount of time) because I share it with 2 other family members. My boss said to put the request through on the computer and I did, it got approved. I got my schedule for the following week and she gave me 2 days off instead of the usual 1 day, okay no big deal. I just got my schedule for next week and she only scheduled me from 3 days. I told my coworker and he told me she did the same to him because he made a request to have 2 certain days off because those are the days he has his kid for the week, after he made the request she replied with “so are you giving me your 2 weeks?” Wow and I thought the boss was kinda cool. The real kicker is 3 drivers are quitting and the boss is cutting hours, how does that make sense. Talked to my other coworker and he told me he requested 4th of July off and she only scheduled him for the weekend as well. Next time I see her ill try to talk to her about it, if she tries to beat around the bush ill make contact with regional (her boss) and if that doesn't work, I'll just contact the owner of the restaurant. This is The first job that I'm not miserable to be at and I actually have fun, I really want to stay here, hopefully it works out.
